Serverless Architecture

Serverless means you run code without managing servers and pay for what is used. It suits spiky traffic, event-driven work and small teams who would rather build features than maintain machines.

What we build

  • Function-based back ends

APIs and background jobs on Lambda, Cloud Functions or Azure Functions.

  • Event-driven workflows

Queues, schedules and triggers that process work as it arrives.

  • Managed data services

Databases, storage and authentication from managed services with little upkeep.

  • Scaling and cost control

Settings and limits so traffic spikes do not become a surprise bill.

  • Local development and testing

A setup where functions can be run and tested before deploying.

How we approach Serverless Architecture

We test the idea against your traffic pattern and cost before committing to it. Functions are kept small, with clear triggers and limits on time and concurrency, and state is held in managed services. We set budgets and alerts so a spike in usage cannot become a surprise bill, and we make functions testable on a developer's machine.

When this is a good fit

A good fit when

  • Traffic is unpredictable, with long quiet periods and sudden peaks.
  • You have a small team and want little infrastructure to look after.
  • The work is naturally event-driven, such as file processing or notifications.

How an engagement works

  1. 01

    Scope

A free strategy call, then a clear proposal with scope and priorities.

  2. 02

    Plan

A PRD and, where useful, a clickable prototype before building starts.

  3. 03

    Build

An in-house team builds in stages, with demos along the way.

  4. 04

    Launch and improve

Release, then keep improving with the people who built it.

Questions about Serverless Architecture

What are the downsides of serverless?

Cold starts, execution time limits and vendor lock-in are real trade-offs. For some workloads a regular server or container is simpler and cheaper, and we say so.

Will it cost less?

Often for light or uneven traffic; not always for steady heavy traffic. We estimate both options against your expected usage.

Can we mix serverless with other infrastructure?

Yes. Many systems use functions for some jobs alongside containers or traditional servers for others.
